Here is what is happening at RUC
Are you concerned about what you are seeing in the news about out Indigenous people? Want to help, but don't know how? Come out every Wednesday and make some noise. Raise awareness, and most importantly, send a message to the governments that they are not doing enough to end systemic racism against the Indigenous.
The following action is being organized by local grassroots group of concerned citizens:
This will happen every Wednesday until our war ends. (And on other nights if the violence increases)
Wednesday 7:00 - 7:30pm
Pots and Pans - make some noise and call for the end of systemic racism here in so called Canada
People can participate in any way that works for them. Hanging signs in their homes, picking up the phone and having those difficult conversations with family who 'don't see' what the issue is, making posters for others to share, hanging up those posters throughout our neighbours to get the word out and physically showing up where ever they are on Wednesday night to let our government know we're watching and we condemn the RCMP, the OPP, our courts and our politician's empty words.
We're not looking for everyone to gather in one place. We want smaller groups of people to gather all across the country as this isn't a march or a protest, it's a solidarity event where Canadians stand up and say no more to our violence.
Our government is counting on us to do what we always do, which is give up because it seems so impossible and I truly believe that we are the generation that will no longer give up.
