Ways We Love the World

Every Sunday Morning at 10:30 am

"Spiritual Renewal"

Our doors are closed, but our hearts are still open, and we are finding lots of safe ways to continue serving our community, with these important programs.

Food Security:

Our Dinner with Dignity volunteers are now operating weekly "bread runs," linking bakeries with bread to share with shelters programs. We also pack delicious nutritious lunches to go for our our guests, every Sunday, 1 - 3.

And a small but dedicated group of DWD volunteers are safely preparing sandwiches, socks, juice or water and safely delivering to people living on the streets

Spiritual Support and Care:

Our weekly video worship service is widely viewed each week, by RUC members and those watching online in many other places. You can find each week's video on our Facebook page or view on our home page.

Sunday, 1 pm zoom spiritual study group: Explores a different spiritual growth topic each week. Find the log-on information here and on Facebook.

Calls and cards connecting RUC members with companionship, help with errands and more.

Dinner With Dignity

Our church cooks and serves 15,000 fresh, free meals each year for people in need. Guests are not only treated to a meal, but are offered warm clothing, companionship and given a sense of dignity and belonging. We serve lunch every Sunday at 1 pm and dinner every Sunday at 5:30 pm. No one is ever turned away. We love volunteers! Contact us for more information.

Not Just Tourists

Our partner group picks up unused medical supplies from local hospitals, clinics and from people who have been caring for a loved one in their home. We store and sort them here at Roncesvalles United Church and then send them out free-of-charge to countries in need. This year, we will save 100,000 lbs of medical supplies from going into Ontario landfills and, instead, send them to Africa, the Caribbean and other vulnerable countries. We love volunteers!
